We may not have it all together, but together we have it all.

We have had a very fun week around her getting to see so much family! On Tuesday, G’ma Jeryl, Aunt Joni and Great G’ma Bertie came to spend a few days with us here and Anya loved having them around. Jason & I were most excited about the fact that they somehow got Anya over her fear of swings and now the minute she gets outside, she is on a mission to get in one of the swings. It was fun having them here and we look forward to them visiting again soon!
This weekend, we traveled up North to spend the weekend with Papa Jim & G’ma Barb. We had fun playing outside with Zachary, Noah & Aubrey and of course the kids spent quality time on the golf cart with Papa Jim. Anya played hard all weekend and is pretty much exhausted tonight (as we all are)!

With all of the Presidential commercials flooding the airwaves, I thought this was refreshing. The Portland Beavers, Triple-A Affiliate of the San Diego Padres, is searching for their next promotional star and it’s down to 3 remaining Bob L. Head’s. You’ll want to vote for Bob Leroy Head, the guy from Maquoketa, Iowa.
Just go to this website and vote for Option C. on the left side of the page just under the master navigation. You’ll have to key in the security code as well.

Once you pop……you can’t stop!

(FYI: we do feed her other food than just chips)

to all those Mother’s out there!

What a beautiful day it was today and extra nice because it was Mother’s Day. Anya surprised me Friday afternoon at daycare with a flower and homemade card for Mother’s day and then Jason and Anya surprised me again this morning with a sweet card and a beautiful necklace….it was so sweet of them! I am so lucky to be the mother of the best little girl and married to the best husband….
We had a great weekend around here. Friday night we went out to eat with our church group to Hu Hot and then had dessert at Maggie Moo’s (cake batter ice cream is SOOO good). Saturday morning Jason had Wild Boys at the church (the monthly men’s gathering) and then we got busy starting our weekend projects. We got 2 big jobs done between yesterday and today including painting our garage doors and staining/waterproofing the swing set. I am so happy to have those jobs done and now it is on to the next thing on the list.
Today we went to church and then came home and worked some more outside in the yard. Anya loves being outside and usually ends up dirty from head to toe. Gone are the days when she only gets baths every other day. These days we have to soak her for an hour to get her nice and clean! It is so much fun to watch her explore new things and try to “help” us with whatever we happen to be doing. It is always an adventure and we wouldn’t have it any other way….
Here are a few pictures of the last week or so….

Believe it or not…Anya has been pacifier free for 2 days now, thanks to Grandma Barb. She has asked for it a few times every now and then, but has finally realized the pacifiers have went “bye bye” for good. She is such a BIG GIRL and has done such a great job giving up her pacifier….Jason & I are so proud of her. Good job Nut…..
