It’s beginning to look alot like Christmas….
…even though it was almost 60 degrees outside today! Hey, I am not complaining (I don’t think anyone is), but it is kindof weird to be thinking about Christmas when it is so balmy outside….guess this must be how people in Florida feel during Christmas time! Unfortunately, I know that it is only a matter of time before the cold weather and snow come to visit for a few months, so I will enjoy however many of these warm days Mother Nature wants to give us!
Anyways, we did our Christmas decorating today inside the house. Tomorrow I am going to tackle the few decorations we are going to put outside….but I am afraid my Frosty the Snowman light-up statue might melt if we have a few more days like today!
Take a look at the final decorating product of all the fun we had doing it

Turkey Day 2006!

Happy Thanksgiving from the McArtors!
We had a great Thanksgiving today….we were lucky enough to have Papa Ron, Grandma Jeryl, Great-Grandma Bertie and Aunt Joni come and celebrate the day with us. It was our first time hosting a major holiday, and things went pretty smoothly….although Grandma Jeryl and Great-Grandma Bertie brought all the side salads, deserts and homemade rolls, so we really only made the turkey, mashed potatos, sweet potatos and stuffing. So, they made our job pretty easy! Anyways, we had a nice day with them and were glad they could make the trip to celebreate with us. Here are a few more pictures of our day.
Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving.
Goodbye Crib….Hello Cot!
Today was Anya’s first day of sleeping on a cot at daycare and her teachers reported that it went great. It must have…..she took a 2.5 hour nap!! We aren’t quite ready to give up the crib at home though….I think we would have a permanent bed buddy!!
Grandparents Galore!
Anya has been a lucky girl in that she has gotten to have both sets of Grandparents come visit her in the last two weekends. First it was Papa Jim and Grandma Barb here for a weekend in addition to Jason, Jill, Zachary, Noah and Aubrey. It was fun having everyone together and a few more people around to help keep charge of the kids. Then this last weekend, Papa Ron, Grandma Jeryl and Aunt Joni came to visit us…and of course Anya loved all their attention. It was nice to see everyone!
Family JUGs
On Tuesday night, we had a few friends over for a family JUGs night so we could get all the couples and kids together since it rarely happens anymore. Jason whipped up a pot of chili and even fired up the fire pit to roast us hot dogs to go with our chili. We had a great time and it was hilarious to watch all the kids run around together. I unfortunately didn’t take too many pictures, but here are a few that I did take of Anya & Jaxson posing with myself and Steph.

Weekend in Winfield!
This last weekend we were down in Winfield for a visit. We left bright and early Saturday morning since I had to work late on Friday night. We headed to Jason’s Grandma’s house in Washington and met Ron and Jason’s cousin Tanner, who also went to the game with Jason. Us girls stayed at Bertie’s to watch the game on TV–although it turned out to not be much of a game. The men handled the loss pretty well, although Jason had a few “vents” about it since!
While we were in Winfield, Anya got to pet one of Grandma Jeryl’s tiny, baby puppys. Anya wasn’t too sure what to think of the doggies at first (since she isn’t quite fond of their house dog, Daisy), but little by little she started to warm up to the puppies and was soon petting the puppy all on her own. We now hear the word “puppy” about every 5 seconds and every animal she sees she thinks is a “puppy”…it is pretty cute. Jason thinks it won’t be long until Anya is wanting a puppy of her own…we will see!
