We may not have it all together, but together we have it all.

Hi Everyone! Having a quiet Monday night at home tonight and decided to post a few of Anya’s latest pictures. Click here to see them. We are still waiting to see the first “official” crawl–although she can pretty much get anywhere she wants by rolling. She has also discovered the ability to puff air in and out of her mouth through pursed lips. It is hilarious and she does it just to make us laugh at her. She is such a goofball!
The weather has been wonderful the last few days. Tonight when I got home from work, Jason, Anya & I took a walk down to the park. There was alot of activity going there…lots of kids and parents taking advantage of the warm weather. Anya got her first ride in a real swing at the park….she thought it was pretty cool! We forgot the camera or we would have taken a picture…maybe next time.
Otherwise, all is well here. More later.

It is pretty quiet around here now that all our company has come and gone. We were very lucky to have Papa Jim here all last week (he left yesterday) and Grandma Jeryl, Papa Ron & Aunt Joni here today. We enjoyed seeing everyone and of course Anya loved being the center of attention (more than she normally is anyways). We were so glad that Ron, Jeryl and Joni were able to make the trip here for the day–we had lunch and then just hung out for the day..was very nice. Click here to see Anya with her guests.
It was great having dad here all week….we got alot of work out of him and he and Anya got to spend quite a bit of time together. He helped us organize the basement, hang some shelves, store some stuff in our garage and did a ton of other misc. projects around the house. I think mom will be glad to have him back, but we enjoyed the days he spent here with us.
Otherwise, things here have been fine. None of us here are a big fan of this cold weather, but sounds like it is suppose to warm up some this week. Fine by me!
Have a good week!

We wanted to wish everyone a Happy Valentines Day tomorrow! Unfortunately, we won’t be doing anything too exciting to celebrate as I work late. However, Papa Jim has come down to stay with us for the week and spoil Anya, so there is sure to be quite alot of excitement around here in the next few days.
Enjoy the day tomorrow!

Today Anya graduated from her infant carrier car seat to a new, roomy, comfy “big-girl” car seat that she will be able to use until she weighs 40 lbs! Her carrier was getting pretty snug (her legs hung over the edge and it just didn’t look comfortable) and now that she is able to sit up on her own, we thought it was time to get her something more appropriate. So, I jumped on the internet, did my research and found a great seat. Luckily, they happened to have it in stock at babies R’ us too, so we were able to get it without ordering it over the internet. We went with the Evenflo Triumph Premier convertible car set…it is so plushy and soft and has a great little removeable pillow for her head….she likes it so much she sat in it almost the entire Hawk game tonight and was a happy little girl the whole time. The seat was rated in the top 3 for safety by consumer reports, can be used as rear or front facing, has 5 recline positions and is fairly resonably priced (the others that rated as high in safety were almost twice the price). Also, it has alot of extra cushions that cradle her now when she is still pretty little that can later be removed as she gets bigger. I tell ya, this seat looks so comfy I wish I had an adult size one! Here are a few pictures of her lounging in her new seat. Now, we just need to get it installed…it has LATCH, so installing it should be a piece of cake.
Otherwise, we did some odd jobs today. I vacuumed out both vehicles and Jason and Anya took them to the car wash…so they are nice and clean both inside and out. We both thought that Anya might get a kick out of going through the car wash, but Jason said she was fast asleep before he even got there…so much for that idea! I also balanced our checkbook….it was Jason’s New Year Resolution for me to start doing that for us, so today was my first attempt. He set my computer up with a program called “Quicken” and it was so simple. Took me like 5 minutes to do it…I couldn’t beleive it. What was even more impressive was that everything matched up the way it was suppose to…wonders never cease!
Now we just got done watching the Hawks beat Michigan in basketball and are trying to decide what to have for supper. Won’t be anything too fancy I imagine….Jason keeps saying popcorn sounds good! Anya is busy jumping away in her jumperoo…she is going to have some rockin leg muscles from all the “up & down” she does in that!
Hope everyone is having a good weekend. More later..

Anya hit a major milestone this week…..she got her first AND second tooth all on the same day! Sunday night I decided to run my finger over Anya’s gums just to see if there was anything exciting going on…and much to my surprise I could feel the teeth just barely through the gums. So, I did the same thing again Monday morning and the teeth were gone….but they were back Monday night. But, they are here for good now….they are still just through the gum surface, but I imagine they will be getting longer as they days go by. So, we have had fun calling her “Chops” these last few days. Luckily for us, she must not have been too fussy during the teething process as we didn’t even know she was getting any in. Hopefully that will continue for future teeth!
